Maxis-match all the way for me, for this reason and many others. It looks like it should, whereas Maxis-match hair looks like it shouldnt and therefore fits better IMO. I like consistency in art styles so in TS4 I go with maxis match or nothing.īecause alpha hair is more detailed, I think its really weird when it doesnt move. I dont have any MM cc in my game currently but Ive been wanting to download some. I dont think Alpha really looks right for me but do what makes you happy. I hate alpha cc, it looks too out of place in the game imo and I just dont like it aesthetically. Using alpha cc is a bit at odds with style of the game, to me its like dropping a cgi animation of a person into an episode of Bobs Burgers. I didnt mind using alpha in TS3 but I think it contrasts too much with the style of TS4. Maxis match is what the base game is comprised of and some cc out there also uses it. I think it looks terrible Its so chunky and feels.Īlpha is just so much more realistic and thats what I like to see in my game, but its not for everyone If you have no idea what Im talking about Ill explain a bit (I dont completely know either, though).Īlpha and maxis match are the main textures for cc including hair (including eyebrows), makeup, and skin tone. I actually prefer Maxis Match because I feel like it fits in with the style of the game a lot better than Alpha.
